How to measure
shorts
for a listing.
4 numbers buyers ask for. Lay it flat on a table, buttoned or zipped, and smooth it out before you start.
- AWaistButtoned, straight across the top of the waistband. Double it.
- BRiseFrom the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband, at the front.
- CInseamFrom the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.
- DLeg openingStraight across the hem of one leg.
What makes
the number wrong.
- Leaving out the inseam, which is the number shorts buyers care about most.
- Measuring elastic waists stretched: give it relaxed, and say it stretches.
- Rolled hems: unroll them or say the inseam is rolled.
Put it on
the photo.
Many buyers only swipe the photos. If the measurements are on one of them, the "measurements?" message never comes. The measurement photo maker draws them on your own photo, in the browser, and nothing is uploaded.
