How to measure
skirts
for a listing.

3 numbers buyers ask for. Lay it flat on a table, buttoned or zipped, and smooth it out before you start.

ABC
  1. AWaistZipped, straight across the top of the waistband. Double it.
  2. BHipsStraight across, about 7 to 8 inches below the top of the waistband.
  3. CLengthFrom the top of the waistband straight down to the hem, at the middle.

What makes
the number wrong.

  • Measuring the waist along the curve instead of straight across.
  • Measuring a pleated or A-line skirt with the pleats pulled open.
  • Measuring length at the side seam, which is longer on curved hems.

Put it on
the photo.

Many buyers only swipe the photos. If the measurements are on one of them, the "measurements?" message never comes. The measurement photo maker draws them on your own photo, in the browser, and nothing is uploaded.
